AMRUT 2.0 — Kalaburagi Zone
Project Overview
Providing a large-scale Water Supply Scheme to Hatti, Kavithal, Manvi, Maski and Turvihal towns in Kalaburagi Zone under the AMRUT 2.0 programme. Executed through Design, Build, Operation and Transfer (DBOT) mode — encompassing complete hydraulic engineering design, construction of all water infrastructure components, and a comprehensive 5-year operational management commitment.
Scope of Work
The Challenge
Integrating five towns with varying population densities, existing pipe networks in differing states of disrepair, and diverse topographic elevations into a single cohesive, balanced water distribution master plan.
Our Solution
Conducted extensive hydraulic modelling and demand forecasting for each town individually before developing a unified zonal water balance plan. Standardized on a single pipe procurement specification and adopted pre-fabricated pump house designs to accelerate construction timelines across all five towns simultaneously.
Project Impact
Ensuring reliable, metered, and safe potable water access for over 200,000 residents across five historically water-stressed towns in the Kalaburagi Zone, directly contributing to India's AMRUT 2.0 universal urban water coverage targets.
