Ayodhya OHT Repair — AMRUT 2.0
Project Overview
Awarded a Work Order by Nagar Nigam Ayodhya (Ref No. GCPC/906/25-26, dated 25/03/2026) for Repairing of Old Overhead Tanks (OHT) of capacities 1250KL, 650KL, and 1250KL at Ayodhya, UP. This project forms a critical part of the 24x7 Water Supply Scheme covering 11 wards of Nagar Nigam Ayodhya in Dist. Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, executed under the Government of India's AMRUT 2.0 programme.
Scope of Work
The Challenge
Repairing and rehabilitating ageing overhead water tanks of large capacity in an active, historically significant urban area without disrupting the existing 24x7 water supply to the 11 municipal wards dependent on these structures.
Our Solution
Deployed specialized structural repair teams to conduct phased rehabilitation of each OHT — using epoxy-based anti-corrosion linings, rebar jacketing for structural reinforcement, and shotcrete application — ensuring each tank is brought back online before work commences on the next, maintaining uninterrupted water supply continuity.
Project Impact
Restoring the full operational capacity of three critical overhead storage tanks ensuring reliable, pressurized 24x7 safe drinking water supply to tens of thousands of residents across 11 wards of Nagar Nigam Ayodhya — fulfilling the AMRUT 2.0 objective of universal urban water coverage.
